NU adds Nate Loenser as assistant coach, Doc Sadler to fill Bobby Lutz’s off court role

On this week’s Pick 6 podcast, Sam mentions that Loenser is being brought in to help develop players and get them to improve. Said that it should help the kids become more complete players, and help the team play better. Sam mentioned guys like Mayen and McGowens who have great tools and skills, but need to be more complete.

I hope we don't lose him again.  I think he's a positive for the program.

There was good reason we "lost him" the first go-around.  Doc was not a good head coach at NU.  I agree that he is very good as a defensive mind, but Doc's role was already being diminished.  Maybe Doc wants to give head coaching another try, and at a school he had success.
