I might be in the minority but I think he had almost as much work to do on the field as he did off. Might as well focus on what we have I agree on that point, but it's because even with all the work he needed he could make incredible plays. We haven't had anyone else who could take a swing pass 75 yards to the house in a long time. He was definitely prone to shutting down in some games, but he was a legitimate big play threat that we just don't have right now. Quote Link to comment
Nebraska55fan
Washington was a longshot at best- worth the gamble? IDK He transferred a bunch in HS and had issues at every stop= not a good sign. The revenge porn thing- you can get past that if you look at the details of what really happened and if viewed in isolation. A close friend works with him at UPS in Lincoln. He said Mo has ZERO interest in playing football ever again. Asked why not try to play for his old coach Deon Sanders at Jackson State- he said "no f---ing way" he would ever play for that guy and just not interested in playing football. Have no clue why he dislikes his former coach so much. But that ship has sailed, kid has some issues. Quote Link to comment

He was an incredible B back but with him we were always going to need an A back to run the powers and inside zones. We haven't found either since he left so I agree that him being here really doesn't solve our RB problems. Quote Link to comment

If I cared enough I would go back and count the times he came off the field after a run holding something and acting hurt only to return a play later or two 2 Quote Link to comment
Fru
It’s really too bad Mo didn’t have more stability in his life. Had that been the case, one can imagine how he may have impacted the 2019 and 2020 seasons. 2019 Indiana, Purdue, and Iowa and 2020 NW, Iowa, Minnesota come to mind. Could have conceivably been the difference in a couple of those games to get bowl eligible in 2019 and fare a bit better in 2020. Quote Link to comment
