The End of the NCAA (for Power 5 football at least)?

Recommended Posts

The NCAA is and has been fake forever.

The school do not need the NCAA, the schools don't need to listen to the NCAA if they don't want to.  They can just make their own rules and if the other schools in their conference and in the nation are good with it, well, there you go.

That's what the NCAA is - the other schools in the nation that are "good with it" or not. It's a question of which schools the P5/SEC want "in the nation".

A good article discussing ESPN’s roll and the concerns.

Great article- Sankey looks like hes driving the bus for college football according to this- with plenty of evidence.

Thankfully someone is standing up against this steamroller- and of course it's not Kevin Warren.  It's OSU's Gene Smith- so will he be the defacto leader for the conference since we have an inept empty suit in Kevin Warren?

Among the topics that the SEC and Big Ten administrations are expected to discuss in the meeting are a new enforcement arm that wouldn’t be the NCAA, the College Football Playoff format, and a scheduling arrangement for football.

Good riddance NCAA....:cheers

Oh yay! Another enforcement arm that schools will agree to play by the rules set forth then completely ignore them.

Exactly. What people forget when they complain about the NCAA and think this is a great idea….all these schools have the power to change the NCAA and actually abide by the rules. But, they don’t.
