Another enforcement arm that schools will agree to play by the rules set forth then completely ignore them. Very true. I suspect we will have a 'CFPA' and the "owners". Kids will be under contract. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/94904-the-end-of-the-ncaa-for-power-5-football-at-least/page/2/#findComment-2678137

Adding a SEC opponent while playing 9 Big Ten games is a big ask for the big brands too. Can you imagine Nebraska's schedule is Alabama, Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, Oregon, and USC one year? Oh and by the way, you are opening on the road against Michigan State too. 2 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/94904-the-end-of-the-ncaa-for-power-5-football-at-least/page/2/#findComment-2678644

It was hard to read the print, but I’m guessing this will be a public list of NIL deals? also, how the in the heck did Trev get on the committee? He has only been a D1 AD for about 3, 4 years tops. I doubt it. I"m unsure how this is different than not allowing pay and boosters just paying under the table. Would happen with NIL deals too. Trev was at UNO for a while before taking the the NU AD job. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/94904-the-end-of-the-ncaa-for-power-5-football-at-least/page/2/#findComment-2717986

I think it will start the process of establishing a “reasonable rate of compensation” Or at least make NIL money publicly transparent. I wonder if it sets up criminalization litigation for booster payments that aren’t reported. This is a serious business now, with lots of white collar type crimes at play. I hate that the smaller conferences are being left out, but I guess that’s just how the world works. They will no doubt see some benefits from the talent trickle down. and the article says the most experienced AD’s were selected. Although not football specific, I think most agree that football is driving the large NIL payments. And Trev killed UNO football. Maybe it was right, but he surely did kill it. I think it’s been mentioned that Trev also doesn’t like NIL money or collectives. So maybe we’re going to start seeing his influence in some of the upcoming regulations.
