Nebraska & Coach Frost under NCAA investigation

This is not loss of a bowl game stuff. This is like lose 1-2 scholarships for a year stuff.

I don't think this is close to losing scholarships. It's pretty low, and the school is self-reporting.

Quite frankly, the absolute clown show Nebraska football has become should be punishment enough. We've been a laughingstock for awhile, but let's be honest: Frost and Moos have made it much, much worse.

Frankly the OU stuff Sam is reporting is much more interesting/disappointing.

We knew that Frost tried to get out of it already though, I read that back when it happened. They said back then he went above Moos head, but folks just didn't seem to want to believe it.

Earlier this year, Frost and Lambrecht were key proponents, along with other administrators, in trying to drop Nebraska’s Sept. 18 game at Oklahoma, a source said.

In March, I reported Nebraska was trying to get out of playing OU, marking the 50th anniversary of the 1971 OU-NU Game of the Century. Nebraska contacted several Group of 5 Conference schools to replace Oklahoma on the schedule, sources told me. However, once my report became public, the negative blowback from Nebraska’s fan base forced the Huskers to play the game as scheduled.

“Frost and Gerrod Lambrecht shopped around trying to find a replacement for Oklahoma without the permission of (then-athletic director) Bill Moos,” a source said. “Frost was in favor of removing the Oklahoma game.”

Moos, who announced his retirement as NU’s AD three months later in June, “jumped on the grenade for that debacle” and took the public relations hit, a source said.

Coincidence that this happening just after Lambrect left? Don't think Lambrect was even involved in much analyst stuff, but the timing kinda stands out.

I agree.  However, the fan base [at least here on Huskerboard] ... didn't have a problem with this.  To me, it was a big issue ... but folks on the other side of the isle just seem to look the other way.  I don't get why anyone would have wanted this or want to support Frost or anyone on such a stupid idea.
