Lunchbucket
1st no sh!t about why would you bring him, we suck, etc. I don't wanna hear it and that isn't the question. My boy is a Huskers fan and hears all the magic of the 90s I have shown him and grew up with. I have tickets for Ohio State. My family has had the same seats since the 70s from what I understand. It's my boys b day weekend and we are going to this game. What things are "kid friendly" that would he a good game day staple for a 9yr old? Things we should do or see. 2 2 Quote Link to comment
The Dude
My 9-year-old loves Morrill Hall. And it's spittin' distance from the stadium. Not sure if it's open on game days with covid and all that, but you would need to order tickets beforehand. 3 Quote Link to comment
lo country
Enjoy the game. Turn off the phone, don't check this board. Enjoy it! 3 Quote Link to comment
ColoradoHusk
Hey man, have fun!! I'm coming back to Lincoln with my 15 year old for the Purdue game. Games in person are always fun, plus it will be a good opportunity to stroll through campus. 2 Quote Link to comment
Nebraska55fan
Watch the band marching down into the stadium. Go over to South End and watch them march down the street. North End underneath before the game. Tunnel walk. Walk along the sidelines before the game. 2 Quote Link to comment
Caven
The band does a show over by the Lied Center/Music Building about 75? minutes before the game. Nice pre-game pep rally kind of thing that is fun to go to. 3 Quote Link to comment

Decked
I can’t believe you would traumatize a child so young. Quote Link to comment

Hilltop
I love taking kids to the game. We have a routine and the kids really enjoy it. We have the kids "tailgate" at Hurts Donuts. Then we Go watch the band for a while before lining up in the tunnel for the tunnel walk. We had an injured kid we took this year so skipped the tunnel so we could get to our seats without rushing- not sure if the rules have changed? The players used to high five all the kids along the ropes as they came in and out from warm ups. Then the energy really builds leading up to the walk. 1 Quote Link to comment

Nebraska55fan
My youngest always enjoyed going to Mistys in Havelock on Friday night of the game to see the old school stuff and see the band and cheerleaders perform- everyone stands, claps etc. It's fun. Then before the game- over to the weight room- trophy case- Brook TO statue. 1 Quote Link to comment
