Northwestern: What Did We Learn?

I like winning better than losing

The Option isn't old fashion after all

AM can be a great QB when he has time

Frost is a better coach when he gets mad at poor performers

Yant is a star in the making

When the OL works, we have a balanced offense that should be feared by others

Our D is consistently playing well.

Also HB will be  a much happier place on Sunday.

I thought Frost would have too much on his plate to work with the OL.  I was wrong.

If Frost worked with the OL (I have no reason to believe he didin't) he is a OL whsperer.

Learned that 2 new OL starters made all the difference

Yanimal is real

If AM has time, he plays very very well

Defense is still legit and playing on fire

I LOVE the option.  Hoping it continues to be a staple and evolve

Loved not beating ourselves and not playing "cute"

Betts does not run.  He slides and glides....

AM cryptic when asked about Frost's comments.

That 84 yd pond tied the record for the second longest punt in Nebraska history.  The fact that this special teams produced that punt really says something about the work that is gone into making this team better.

The work that has been done has been successful I believe and we finally have the momentum that we need.

I think we're in for a good rest of the season.

Since the Illinois game, the play calling has improved dramatically with greater emphasis in getting Martinez on the move. When you add in the OL adjustments and remove dumb penalties good things happen. I really credit whoever is making the push to modify the playbook and not have Martinez sit in the pocket too often. The playcalling is now aligning with the strengths of our players.
