Gauging the excitement level

8 - I think they'll be good, but the B1G is pretty loaded, so I'm not expecting them to finish top 3 or 4. Maybe 6th. I do expect some nice wins in the non-conference

If they finish in the top 9 in conference, they've got a great shot at making the tournament.

6. Going to be cautious for awhile, until they gel, and we see if B. McGowans can get over the freshman wall in February

That might ramp up to a 9 if they beat Creighton, though.

It's really going to be interesting to see if Bryce lives up to the hype.  I'm trying my best to not get way over board with excitement over him till I see him on the court with the rest of the team.

One thing Fred is going to have to really manage around is if B. and T. McGowan play well with the rest of the team, or are they going to try to be the two stars just feeding each other.  They both seem to be professional enough to handle that.  But, we won't know till we see it in action.  Are they both going to be happy if a different player rises to the top as the star?

And...yes...beating Creighton would be a huge win early in the season for this team that would really build excitement for conference play.  I would be perfectly fine if we beat them by 30.
