Personally I would rather start with a whole new staff and being patient is hard, but one more year of this wont kill the university. If it continues to fail after next year we are just in the same situation we would be this year just delayed and we wont be fighting with LSU, USC, FSU, UF for coaches. If we restart again after next year we just will have to hit the transfer portal hard and hope the momentum of the new staff carries a big wave of recruiting.

Now that it's official the next steps after the Iowa game has concluded is to make the necessary changes in assistant coaches.

 

Assistant Coaches - KEEP or REPLACE?

• Greg Austin - Offensive Line Coach - REPLACE
• Sean Beckton - TE's Coach - KEEP
• Ryan Held - RB's Coach - REPLACE
• Matt Lubick - Offensive Coordinator & WR's - Up in the air???
• Mario Verduzco - QB's Coach - ELIMINATE QB Coach position & REPLACE with proven Special Teams Coach.

 

***All defensive coaches along with Zach Duvall our Strength & Conditionion Coach should return.

 

 

Offensive Scheme Changes

1. Find a consistent Power Running Scheme.
2. Incorporate under-center sets in a portion of the offense.
3. Overhaul the entire offensive scheme to be built around the offensive line & running backs and NOT built solely around the QB position.

I would be very empathetic to the "competitive losses" argument if this was season 2, not season 4.

Can’t do this.  Must dump one coach to add a special teams coach.  Eliminate qb coach
