Even then..if Vokolek leaves we are boned there too. Even if he stays we need a blocking TE bad. Quote Link to comment

There'd be some excitement but then only the guys who have proven things on the field end up getting deals. It makes little sense to give money to guys who haven't even played. Other than, you’re paying a recruit to come to your school. Basically, doing what used to be against the rules. Quote Link to comment

BigRedBuster
If it were me wanting to lay a recruit 1,000,000. It would be like. Year 1 - 100,000 Year 2 - 200,000 Year 3 - 300,000 Year 4 - 400,000 anything after year 2 is if he is the starter. But, even if I had the money, I wouldn’t do this. 1 Quote Link to comment

Did any of you start buying degree deodorant when Adrian got involved with them? 1 Quote Link to comment

I think it's better for local businesses throwing a few hundred bucks towards players, rather than the big autograph or endorsement deals. That burrito place in downtown Lincoln killed it this year after getting NU linemen to be spokesmen for their restaurant. I think they regularly had lines out the door after getting their name out this fall. 3 Quote Link to comment

Do you like throwing away money for no reason? Businesses sure don't. Quote Link to comment

Yeah, makes much more sense for local food establishments than anyone else. 15 minutes ago, runningblind said: ROI can include helping your school if that was your goal. As a business owner myself, it wouldn't be the kind of advertisement I'd be interested in, outside of just wanting to associate my business with Nebraska football for my own satisfaction. 1 Quote Link to comment

chamrocck
I like the FIU WR and OL. How many guys do we have room from the portal? With MJ on board I’d like to see us grab a true big time stretch the field WR target that needs attention from the defense so we can run the ball and then hit him deep. Quote Link to comment
