Surprised I have not seen this posted here yet.

Backstory - Husker fan Milton Munson died last week.  Read his obituary here (by his son who doubles as a comedian and writer) -> https://www.hastingstribune.com/obituaries/milton-a-munson-jr/article_cedf8bb8-48ae-11ec-8762-3f71502fa896.html

A snippet (but please read the whole thing):

Quote

Former Hastings, Nebraska resident Milton Andrew Munson Jr., 73, passed away Tuesday, November 16, in Grand Island.

Memorial Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home in Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial with Hastings Military Honor Guard will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. In lieu of flowers, please place an irresponsibly large wager on Nebraska beating Iowa. Private condolences may be sent to the family at www.lbvfh.com. Livingston Butler Volland Funeral Home & Cremation Center is serving the family.

The grim reality of the Nebraska Cornhuskers finishing yet another season with a losing record proved to be too much to bear for Milton Andrew Munson, who decided he’d seen enough of this world during the team’s recent bye week. The Huskers may not have sent him into the afterlife with a victory but at least they didn’t lose. And sometimes, that’s the best you can hope for.

This obit found its way around the internet and thanks to Josh Peterson and Jack Mitchell Husker fans are chipping in to make that "irresponsibly large wager on Nebraska beating Iowa" as well as donating a GoFundMe page that will go to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Nebraska.
