seaofred92
Not surprising at all. Glad to see this is happening. May see Gates gone too Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/96751-staff-changes/#findComment-2455482
DevoHusker
I like Doc, but maybe they feel the need for someone younger? Abdelmassih fit that mold, but is now gone as well so...? Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/96751-staff-changes/#findComment-2455490

ColoradoHusk
Doc's "firing" is such a non-issue, and is only made a big deal because NU is the only big school in town. Doc was already relegated to a role in which he wasn't really doing much but collect a paycheck. 1 Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/96751-staff-changes/#findComment-2455492

It may be the weakest domino ever (and widely predicted), but it's still a domino since there are finite places on a coaching staff and his last reported salary before moving to this special assistance title was $380,000. Agree that it does free up salary for a position that wasn't needed. Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/96751-staff-changes/#findComment-2455878
Mavric
Brother was hired as Missouri's HC. It's been speculated that he would join him. Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/96751-staff-changes/#findComment-2456119

From this same local media member, he is now saying Armon is not being considered for a position according to his sources. It will be interesting to see if Fred or Armon decide he should stay regardless. https://www.stltoday.com/sports/college/mizzou/five-thoughts-on-new-mizzou-basketball-coach-dennis-gates/article_b941265e-9c1a-5d8a-a2ca-e8db5efa2bdb.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=user-share Quote Link to comment https://www.huskerboard.com/index.php?/topic/96751-staff-changes/#findComment-2456167
