Pasadena Husker
wow! Might as well let Schanaman keep going for a couple of more innings and regroup for Saturday and Sunday. Quote Link to comment

admo
Is it so hard to knock in some runs? Jack a 3-run homer? Go gap to gap with RISP? Help your SP out, and your bullpen? Every at bat is an opportunity to bust it open. Quote Link to comment
admo
Indiana builds big early lead before hanging on against Husker baseball | Baseball | journalstar.com Nebraska (14-22, 4-6 Big Ten) scuffled on offense through six innings, not getting its first hit to the outfield until a two-out bloop single from Leighton Banjoff in the sixth. (*However, the Huskers got some runs in a big way...HBP, single, and an RBI single by Griff Everitt) Max Anderson then followed with a massive three-run homer of his own to get NU back within 7-4. (*Indiana responded, and scored a run to extend the lead to 8-4) The Huskers got a pair of singles from Anglim and Anderson before Brice Matthews blasted a two-out, three-run home run to get NU within one run. (*Unfortunately, the bombs came a little too late...but it is VERY encouraging to see what damage you can do going deep) Indiana jumped out to a 7-0 lead after four innings and held on for the 8-7 win. Slow yer Roll
So, what's the difference between last year , and this year? Did we loose a bunch of talent? Quote Link to comment

Yes, I think we had a couple really top-shelf guys who were only here for one year. We haven't filled the void left behind. Quote Link to comment

Last year we had seniors and some juniors that graduated and/or were drafted to MLB. The last two years have been one wiped out covid year and a year where the Big Ten only played an in conference schedule. Our younger players didn't have the mid week games vs Northern Colorado, K State, UNO and Creighton to get game experience. Practice can only accomplish so much and is different than playing live games with fans in the stands expecting you to win or opponents fans yelling for their team. 1 Quote Link to comment
