Easiest way to improve our talent is to give the head coach the power to make coaching hiring and firing decisions for the state high school coaches. Put coaches in those positions that steer players to the program, not away from it. Then get the high schools running Nebraska's most often used plays and being taught the Nebraska defensive style and offensive line blocking methods.

The population is not large so you need every in state kid being interested in going to the program and already have a basic understanding of the playboook and terminology.

This is the easiest way?  Dare I ask what other way might be more involved, time-consuming, and more ethically compromised?

That is very unrealistic so kind of ridiculous to even suggest it.

However, what we can have is a staff that works with in state HS coaches close enough that they are teaching the coaches their systems, practice drills, work ethic in kids..etc.  We have had that in volleyball years ago and look what we have now?  We had that in football when many coaches were running TOs system.  BUT.....to accomplish that, you can't be changing head coaches at Nebraska every few years and you have to have a HC that is committed to being her long term and one that appreciates Nebraska talent....and not just Lincoln and Omaha.  I think Frost can be that.....if he starts winning.  If he doesn't, then we will be changing once again and end up with a coach that may not appreciate Nebraska talent.
