Saw on an Oregon board that the big 12 extended offers to UO UW the AZ schools but not Colorado or Utah. Don’t know how much weight this is if true

I've wondered if we might see the Big 12 try to merge with the PAC or ACC. The ACC would probably be a much more attractive partner - the PAC is losing at least two of its top brands, while as of now the ACC is still intact.

Question is, does anybody even want the remaining Big 12 teams? They might not be the prettiest girl at the dance, but if they're your conference's only realistic hope for survival/relevance, you'd probably take them.

Duke and KU would be near the top if they had even a shred of respectability in the sport that matters, lol.

Agree. I'm actually surpised KU is on there just from a Hoops perspective. I would think a school like Baylor (problems aside) would be way more valuable due to them having good basketball and above average football. Not sure what else they bring with them in sports but. KU is a zero benefit in my eyes.

NCAA has lost it's mind. The rivalries have lost all meaning. Should've stayed in the Big 12 and passed on the TV money. Is there a reliable place to watch Australian football?

College football died when they okayed transfers and NIL. Morphing into a pseudo mini NFL was inevitable. It had nothing to do with Nebraska leaving or staying in the Big XII. Leaving was required for survival and it’s a good thing we did it when we did. I’m not sure we’d be allowed into the B1G today. There are two choices, join a superconference and cash that check or don’t and start cutting sports.

KU is in the AAU...if that even matters anymore. ND is not in the AAU.

College football died when the Supreme Court ruled that the NCAA couldn't stop schools/conferences from negotiating their own media deals.

From another site

California has a travel ban (ab1887) to not pay for state employees to travel to a number of states California considers hostile to LGBTQ rights. Iowa, Ohio and Indiana are on the list. While the state does not pay the travel expenses for state schools to travel to athletic events, UCLA has vowed to voluntarily avoid the offending states. UCLA Athletics spokesperson Josh Rupprecht said in an email (in 2017) that UCLA Athletics does not receive any state funding, but would not schedule future games in states that fail to meet the standards established by the new law.

Strange lack of outrage with the overturning of 5 years of precedent.

Agree. Also the BIG needs a school from Texas too...maybe TCU?

Too bad A&M is taken. We could use a team from Florida and some have mentioned Miami. I would like Florida. Miami is probably a reasonable second option.
