Northwestern: What did we learn?

Recommended Posts

I learned that this can't continue.

We couldn't run, and we couldn't stop the run.

We couldn't get defensive pressure with only 4 guys.

The onside kick decision was an atrocious game managment decision. It was the difference in the game.

This is Year 5, and nothing's changed. Scott Frost has had plenty of opportunities.

This will be Scott Frost's last season at Nebraska as Head Coach.

Glass half full?

- The ST game was not memorable other than a good punter

- Casey is a quicker decision maker than 2AM

- Receivers look better, as a unit, than last year

- We have the best Hype video team in the entire world

The bad?

- We don't have the dimension of a running QB

- Our OLine is a poor run blocking unit.

- None of our backs stand out.

- The defense has regressed at every level.  Every. Single.  Level.  Heinrich and Doman's (#31) replacement are especially bad

- Scott's small fingerprint on the game, an onside kick, killed us

- The last Husker drive literally looked like almost every 2AM game winning chance.  The worst deja vu I've had in years.
