What’s worse in that scenario…A) we are so dumb, we passed on the obvious top choice, or B) we are so s#!tty, he passed on us?

A.  Definitely.   We’ve been dumb for >20 years.  It’s time for that to stop.

If Bob Devaney and Tom Osborne had a baby, it would be Dave Aranda.

he coaches a perennial top 25 team with top 25 recruiting classes without even having to leave the state of texas. and gets about 6 million a year with no state income taxes. good luck getting him to come to a program that fires every coach after 4 years and has no recruiting base.

If you made $6 mil a year, would you worry about state income taxes?

Plus it’s not like Nebraska has 15% State Income Tax. It’s the property taxes in Texas that will get Aranda!

We could be competing with OU for a new coach   by the end of this year.

OU isn’t going to fire Venables

They look REALLY bad. They fired Schnellenberger after one season in ‘95, so it’s not off the table.

Lane Kiffen would sure be entertaining. I just sense that he is hungrier than others and will be in the playoff at some point.  M. Stoops took a hit from me today. He’s like a Mac Brown lite. He has a top NFL type QB and wasn’t able to put up points. Penalties and special teams miscues hurt Kentucky. Relied on his top QB and RB and not much else.
