Hayseed
Why hasn't anyone mentioned Brian Harsin? He's like the old Luke Fickel. 1 Link to comment
HANC
Harsin is a fantastic coach who went to a place that for some reason didn’t want him there and truly undermined him. Link to comment
Crusader Husker
I think if we work really hard and propping up and shooting down coaches we can get this baby to 700 pages by midnight central time. I believe in you guys!! Link to comment

He, along with almost every other employed and unemployed coach that is still alive have been mentioned. Official leaks will start Saturday night and then we can really crank up this madness. . 1 Link to comment
Cdog923
Sounds like this thing has gone south in a hurry in the week I've been stuck sick in bed. 2 Link to comment

Mavric
HOL with similar reports. Rhule seems to be looking elsewhere. I wasn't sure if I should believe that when I heard it last week but that seems to be the prevailing opinion now. Stoops was contacted but now has an extension at Kentucky. Leipold seems to be moving to the top of the list. He hasn't signed a new deal with Kansas. Doeren and Klieman are in the mix. Fickell floated as a possibility. DeBoer and Traylor listed as possibilities. 1 Link to comment
Decked
Would rather have Doeren or Kliemann. I’m still good with Leipold. These guys need to hire some dudes. They won’t but they should. Fickell would be a home run. Was really sold on Rhule. 2 Link to comment

Wouldn't that be the full circle ironic thing to occur - the guy who beat Frost and led to his firing ends up replacing Frost. That is what I call an audition for the job. Link to comment
Mavric
From a friend who is a high school AD/football coach in Texas: Rhule wanted three assistants at $1M+ but Trev said no. The timing of that would line up with Rhule's supposedly turning us down last week and Trev's "I do take very seriously being a good steward of the resources of the University of Nebraska" comment last week. Of course, that comment was immediately followed by "we'll have the resources we need to hire the very best coach and the very best fit" so who knows. 3 Link to comment

I feel like there is drop off from those first 3 to the latter 3. Link to comment

Well if that is true, then Trev should have waited til October 1 to fire Frost and that could have paid for at least a couple years of expensive assistants! 4 5 2 Link to comment

huskered17
I hope they are not thinking Mark Stoops. He was let go down here in Tucson, because he is not a good head coach. Assistant coach yeah. GBR!!! 1 Link to comment
