Who should our next HC be?

Bielema or Bust.

- 80-34 as B1G HC

- 3 B1G championships

- Outstanding player developer (turned JJ Watt from a TE to a HOF pro EDGE)

- Nebraska's daddy

- knows how to recruit in the Midwest

He actually is the only Wisconsin coach we have beaten since we joined the B1G. Also JJ watt had 7 sacks in his last season at Wisconsin that's more of a negative to me that he had a HOF defensive player that had one of the best single seasons in NFL history and didn't really get much from him.  Its like he had Suh and had a good not great season from him.

Just one winning season as a P5 coach would be a good start as to why he's a bad choice.

So he's 1/2 at the worst P5 school all-time lol...I think he has a good track record of running the ball well. He also likes to use dual-threat QBs which I like.

This is annoying. I want something to substantiate! I am impressed with the way it’s being handled tho.. and believe that there has never been a more methodical, strategic hire. Hope it works out well.. whoever it is.

How do we know it has been methodical.  For all we know, Trev has been sitting in his office playing checkers.  He has been so quiet. We don't know nothing.  But we do trust Trev's character so I believe he is doing a lot of things we don't see - besides playing checkers.:D

How many winning seasons does a coach need, as a p5 coach, to be considered a good hire?

Obviously just 1- that is why we hired Frost

This is a terrible take.  Watt was 2nd team All-American, 1st team All-B1G.  He was picked 11th overall.  He was plenty good at Wisconsin.

Suh has 20.5 TFLs his last season.  Watt had 21 TFLs his last season.

Did you just use Nebraska to get new contract terms with your current company?

Best Post of the day :)

Apparently when I said I wanted a full time buffet of dry aged steak, shrimp, lobster, and entire office full of bourbon & exotic dancers it was distasteful and something the university could not accept. I also asked if we could give recruits chargers full of a million in cash. Bulletproof strategy too. After a prompt stew in Trev’s office and being escorted out I got into a fight with a security guard…RKOed thar mfer and am now banned on all university property. Thanks a lot, Trev. Therefore, I will not be accepting the job.

Any coach that is realistically a candidate is going to have "warts" to different people.  This is why this process has been so troubling for a lot of fans.  There is no perfect answer, like we all thought Frost was in 2017.  Of course, that ended up blowing up in the face of NU fans.

And this was the the problem with frost.  We thought even with the biggest wart at the time ( his lack of experience and wanting to bring his entire staff) we overlooked it with the fact that it was Frost, he wanted to be here.  He would do whatever it took to win here.  And clearly the pressure was to much and he did things to help cope with that stress.
