Radio host Dan Patrick said a source told him to keep an eye on Arizona State and Nebraska as far Meyer's coaching future is concerned. "Let’s just say this dreamlike, and they might have an opening soon,” Patrick said, via Saturday Tradition. “Let’s say Nebraska could be in play for Urban Meyer, maybe, hypothetically."

Perfect timing, perfect person for the job, and the right destination to attract this individual. All considered, this possible union has the potential to be a great overall fit...a true win-win.

$10 million per year should do it; along with a FAT assistant coaches' salary pool (as in, largest in the Big Ten)

The fact that Week 1 has not started and national sports media is already speculating about a new Nebraska coach shows that its not just Husker fans who recognize just how bad things have gotten. Unless Nebraska beats Oklahoma, expect the noise to stay loud the whole season.

As for Meyer, unless he can bring back old assistants that helped him have success, I am not sure we can expect a miracle.  Most of his great assistants (minus Herman) have moved on.

Maybe his luster is a little lost but..Meyer knows who is a good coach and who isn’t. He would find serviceable coaches to be here.
