I will probably get corrected, but the coaching change is a free transfer.  I think.

For one more day (30 days)  I'm just wondering what good it would do?  Guys can't start school at a new school in October can they?  Why not just tell the coach "I'm done" and ride the semester out.

That is what I'm hearing as well.  Not much NIL for him coming from NMS so when Alante beat him for the position he bailed to try to make some cash and to find a place he can start.

Caught 10 minutes of the Conner Happer show discussing MJ  press conference.  Said he wanted to be the #1- don't know if that was direct quote or was implied.

2022 will be his redshirt year.  Because he already used a transfer,  a second transfer in December would mean sitting 2023 out.

So I think because he did the 30 day coach change rule transfer, he can play next fall.  Thats what it looks like to me.

Thats what ive heard too. Coaching change, no matter the reason, free transfer for the first 30 days after the coach leaves.

Not doubting you, but can you share the source that mentions this? Specifically the "first 30 days after the coach leaves". I've seen it worded as "head coach changes", which is somewhat different.

Couple of questions:

Does this mean that if an interim Head Coach leaves, everybody gets another transfer window of 30 days?

If not, this explains why firing head coaches mid-season is going to be a thing. I believe that fewer players are likely to transfer during the season. If you fire a HC at the end of a season (along with a lot of other schools) you are all shopping for a new HC at the same time, and the players have a lot of time to entertain interest from prospective transfer-seeking schools.
