I am thinking he was on the first Southwest flight out of Omaha this morning.  I actually feel for Whipple, but I am sure he won't mind the cash he got from his NU experience.

That's a little surprising. He spent one year here and made $875k. That's a pretty sweet gig.

While Coordinators are always important hires, I really hope we spend good dollars getting some of the best line coaches in the country. Our O and D lines are the key to rebuilding this program.

Also, I would love to see a top notch strength and conditioning coach.

The o-line and d-line coaches and S&C coach are going to be guys Rhule is comfortable with, and who align with what Rhule and his coordinators want to do on both sides of the football.  I am more curious about the S&C coach philosophies, however Rhule has had great success of developing players at Temple and Baylor.

You can tack on next year's contract, as well.  My comments about feeling for Whipple was that he was being asked to do a certain job at NU, and he was going to do it his way.  Maybe Frost or Joseph or the fans were unrealistic on what that exactly meant and how successful that would be.

I can’t remember his name, but the S&C guy has followed Rhule from Temple to Baylor to Carolina.  I would bet dollars to donuts he comes to Lincoln.
