HS_Coach_C
Didn't think this would happen with an offensive coordinator already mentioned. Nice addition if true. Maybe co-OC's? 2 1 Quote Link to comment

I thought he might be the OC hire honestly. Think he was OC at LSU for a little bit. Has worked under Saban and McVay. My favorite hire so far. 1 Quote Link to comment

Short answer is because he went to Nebraska. Long answer is that he has been a coach/analyst at some impressive places for a 38 year old - Raiders, Redskins, Panthers, Rams in the NFL. Alabama and LSU in CFB. 5 1 Quote Link to comment

While this is true his results as an actual coach haven't been great imo. His lone year as OC for LSU they were bad on offense. Derek Carr is the best QB he has coached as an actual QB coach and the year he coached him was a bad year for Carr. Not super enthused about Peetz myself but he has been around some good coaches and he is young. Time will tell I suppose. 1 1 2 Quote Link to comment
Mavric
HOL reporting that this isn’t a done deal and may depend on if Mickey is still on staff or not. They didn’t elaborate. 1 Quote Link to comment

Frost was around some great coaches, that didn't pan out, as much as I wanted him to be, the next great coach here. Let's hope we start getting lucky on some of these hires. We sure could use some. GBR!!! 1 Quote Link to comment

Considering the last two staffs, it's quite a bit of an improvement over them. What I like too is that these have worked for and around others not just Rhule and his assistants. More perspectives and different experiences. The biggest issues with Frost were that he was in over his head and his staff was under-qualified generally as a whole. Quote Link to comment

I believe your short answer is wrong. That’s just the popular in some circles thing to say. I’ve been following the Huskers since the early 70’s and I can’t recall Jake Peetz at all. I actually think nobody thinks it was a good hire simply because he’s a former Husker. 1 1 1 Quote Link to comment

It seems we are getting a more mature and more traveled group- with experiences from different places. Hope we get Robinson - the A&M DL coach. 1 Quote Link to comment
