People got blasted for calling this out or making a bigger deal of it than they thought deserved.  I was in the camp it was a sign he wasn't going to be 1st string...too many mocked that position.

And here we are.  Now those people will disassociate the symptom (video) from a root cause (lazy/low drive) and him leaving (outcome).

From Skutt, went to Wyoming.  Probably as a walkon.

Thought he was a QB, but that picture is not a QB stance.

Twitter announcement he has pinned says he entered the portal as a TE/ATH, so he's most likely making a position change. I'm still thinking as a walk-on.

I missed this when if was posted in March. After watching this video clip of Allen getting booted from a RB drill I have to think this isn't exactly the kind of effort HCMRh is looking for in his players. His entering the portal today seems to make more sense.

You could analyze this to death, but this is definitely not the kind of attitude coaches want to see.  EJ looked like a cop about to snap over noncompliance.

If this is why he left then see ya kid. This type of effort seemed to be an issue during Frost's tenure the first few years and all we heard was it was the last coaches fault.

Looks like we are tied for 7th in the P5 with 25 transfers to date.  CU on top with 56.  Read the were down to roughly a dozen original scholarship guys.  If we lose to them.......

We have no idea how we will be with a new staff and turnover, likewise with CU. Losing to them means absolutely nothing for us or Rhule at that point. This next year is going to be rough regardless.

****Do not turn this into a Deion discussion.  There is a thread for that****

Two nuggets from an Athletic article on Deion's roster flip that pertain to our roster:

Sanders is executing this overhaul at a time when transfer rules are changing. The NCAA has made it much tougher for underclassmen to gain immediate eligibility on their second transfer. In recent years, it was easy to get a waiver by citing no participation opportunity (NPO) at your previous school. That won’t work anymore. Obtaining that eligibility waiver now requires documented issues of mental health, assault, discrimination or disability. Undergraduate transfers joining Colorado have two options if they need to transfer again: Get their degree first or sit out a year in residence.

There’s a potentially greater issue coming soon. The NCAA is concerned enough about the graduation rate of transfers that they want to hold schools accountable. Starting this year, the undergraduate transfers Sanders signs will have their financial aid guaranteed for their full five-year period of eligibility and count against Colorado’s 85-man scholarship limit until they graduate or go pro.

There are ways to get around that if the player transfers again or is medically disqualified, but recruiting staffers recognize they must be careful when taking transfers who aren’t close to graduating.

“If we take an undergrad transfer, we now view it like you’re stuck with this guy for the rest of their career,” the a Big 12 Director of Player Personell said. “The rules are written in a way to encourage you being stuck with them. If they take 25 transfers and 15 of them stink, there’s really no way to get rid of those guys.”

Sounds like the staff may be content with keeping who we have on the roster and will be very, very picky on who we bring in. Can’t help but think a Walter Rouse type isn’t really out there or interested. God that would’ve been nice though. So cruel!
