2 Questions

Sometimes I wish NETV would broadcast the games that aren't being covered by anything else, and of course are a sellout. Makes no sense that they wouldn't, their donations would skyrocket!

New to Nebraska and I had two questions.

Why aren't the games on local TV? I have a great dish package and rarely get to see Husker games.

Why is everyone saying Osbourne has integrity? If he's going to can Callahan while saying he won't, that doesn't seem like it matches up. I'm not trolling but am uncertain as to why that word continues to be used. I understand his success but not his character.

When did Osborne say he won't fire Callahan?

He hasn't canned anyone and never said he wouldn't. All he said was that he would not fire Callahan during the season and will wait until after the season to make the final evaluationand any decisions on coaching changes. What is it that you do not understand about his character?

Osborne is too much of a gentleman to get into the dirty politics. I wouldn't be surprised if he already has an agreement with Callahan to resign at the end of the season. I think there is a code in the coaching fraternity about respect and TO is going to honor that. He will not get down to vindictive behavior with respect to the "crusty old #@$#" comment. What is best for the program is if Callahan resigns, TO knows it, Callahan knows it, and most of you should know it.

If there is not an agreement then it is probably true that Osborne has not made up his mind. I personally want to see success beginning next week. I would love for Callahan to keep his job and coach at Neb for the next thirty years as long as we get back to national prominance and win a few Big XII championships along the way.

Edit: As far as the TV question...you have to win to keep getting shown on tv. This team is not showing any improvement from week to week and the networks are not interested in showing a blowout. Frankly I am surprised the Texas game is going to be shown.

lying to the media is a staple of political agenda.
Yes but for me, it's incompatible with integrity. That's why I'm confused.

I guess a bigger question is why local tv isn't showing the games. So many ppv games and I'm in Omaha. Are they non-ppv in Lincoln?

You're a wizard Henry Porter, and just as you defeated Lord Voldemott, you should be able to wave your wand and allow your television set to receive Nebraska Football coverage.
hey come here and make mine able to receive it also, please

Regarding Osborne and character -- what the others said pretty much sums it up. Don't let rumors confuse the facts. Osborne is the definition of character. If you find yourself in a crowded bar sometime, I'd suggest not challenging this fact, or your safety might be in jeopardy. ;)
That's why I did it from the safety of my cpu. :)

Thanks, you all have answered my questions. I just come from Iowa City where the Hawks were on every game, regardless of how the season was going and with how well the Huskers are supported here, I thought it would be the same. I do hope that Osborne gets it turned around for you guys.

Best wishes,

HP

For Gods sake its Osborne, not Osbourn, or Osbourne

I can't believe how many people cant spell his name
Ozzy is our new AD!!! :woo

Actually when everyone first started saying that TO was going to take over for AD, all I could think about was Terrell Owens. For a brief second I was like 'Thats odd'
