Four-Star Recruit
The Huskers are going to have some big playmakers on defense next year and i think that they will rank in the tops of the nation. what are everyones thoughts?

I am really looking forward to having everyone healthy for more than 10 minutes this year. :horns2

i cant wait to see octavien and i heard it might be possible that new recruit steve allen might want to switch to a safety spot. who do you believe will be at safety? im thinking green and thenarse?

Coz will have the opportunity to move some guys around this year, and make the defense even better......if some of the new guys step up and in and can contribute half way through the season, this could be one of the top defenses in the country!

oh man no offense but i think you guys are mistaken. grixby is a pretty good corner despite his size. every DB gets beat at one point or another and grixby got beat just as often as everybody else did this year. Nevertheless he can jump freakishly high and he has good speed. On the other hand he does need to bulk up and put on more muscle. i dont know if he has the frame for that. if he did bulk up more he might lose a step or two. who knows. he's just a sophomore right now. next fall he will be a junior with more experience and confidence. he wont fade away and will be a contributor till he graduates. .

I concur

If everyone stays healthy this could be a shutdown D. Only the top teams will be able to score anything on the B-shirts. In that case there will be more than one shutout. :) :cheers

I hope our 2 weak links, Green and Grixby, are replaced!
green was beat on this year because of his inexperience(at the CB position). He's still has great speed. i hope he makes a great transition to safety though. with the whole ashlee palmer thing we need a guy with D-1 experience (this fall will be Green's third year of D-1 football) and good instincts. A lot of the best safeties dont have mind-blowing speed but make the best decisions and take the best route to the ball. I'm going to keep my eye on this off-season move and hope it turns out the best.
