- Bob Devaney hired goes 9-2-0 finished with winning records through to the month of November.
- Never finishes with a losing record in his 10 seasons as coach, wins '71, '72 National Titles.
- Tom Osborne is named Devaney's successor and never has a losing record through November in his 24 seasons as head coach. Wins '94, '95, '97 National Titles.
1997
- Tom Osborne retires as the winningest head coach in Nebraska football history and names Frank Solich as his successor.
2002
- Frank Solich goes 7-6 through November.
- Frank Solich is fired after going 9-3, never finishes with a losing record through November.
- Bill Callahan finished 5-6 first losing season in 43 years dating back to pre-Devaney, 1961.
- Bill Callahan finished 5-7 and is relieved of duty.
- Bo Pelini is hired, goes 9-4, 8-4 all the way through November
- Bo Pelini is fired with a 9-3 record. Never finishes with a losing record through November.
- Mike Riley is hired and is 3-6 in his first year, could be facing 2 more additional losses which would leave Nebraska at 3-9, the worst record in 54 years dating back to 1961.
