So if you're Gregory, do you start wishing you stayed another year or was this bound to happen because of this "big secret"?

I don't see how staying another year would have helped him at all. He was a top 10 pick based on his talent and then it came out that he was trying to remake How High while he was at NU.

Do you really believe that's the reason? Not saying your wrong, but Ray was arrested MONDAY and drafted tonight...

There could be something else, but RG is thought of as the biggest pot smoker in recent draft history. That's going to hurt his draft spot. But, no he doesn't regret coming out for the draft. He was always going to be a short-timer at NU.

Ok, I wasn't aware they were comparing him to cheech and chong... Guess that probably makes the difference.

I listen to Dallas sports radio and they were discussing drafting Gregory. Every time they brought him up, they made a joke about RG trying to set the world record for pot smoking. It was so bad that Bo and his staff couldn't test him because they knew he was going to fail it.

Based on what evidence? Texas folk aren't exactly known for their neutrality towards Nebraska either.

It wasn't the pot. He disclosed something in those interviews that dropped him off the first round.

Curious with all the sexual assault/domestic abuse (etc...) talk in the NFL...if something in his past happened that are along those lines and felt the need to come clean about his history...?

Probably way off.

Unless Gregory has an imbecile for an agent, I find it somewhat hard to believe he revealed too much in the interview process. Isn't this the agent's job to coach their clients on what to say and when? I mean they do want their client to get drafted as high as possible. I just don't buy the "big secret" conspiracy.

By Gregory's own admission he told NFL teams things that he had never even told his family, in order to establish transparency so that future revelations wouldn't be held against him.

If that's the starting point for our speculation, then Randy Gregory has a Big Secret and it's not a conspiracy.

It's possible he told them about his pot use in anticipation of the combine testing. That would make him more honest than smart. An agent can strongly advise his client, but he can't stop him.

But something in his choice of words doesn't ring true to substance use. To anxiety issues, maybe. And if you were entertaining the theory that RG has a sexual preference secret, the words certainly fit. All things considered, that would be his best case scenario right now.

If his sexual preference is the "revelation" than the NFL has a major problem on their hands... He was picked to go top 5, 10, first round and then magically drops out? Yikes, that's a big black eye if he were to come out after the draft and prove that the NFL is 100% against having Gay Athletes in their locker rooms. It's easy to point that finger at the Michael Sam situation, but this one would be blatant evidence that it's true.
