2018 Penn St recruiting off to unbelievable start

Penn State already has 10 commits for the 2018 Class. Two five-stars and six more four-stars.

Just crazy to see them rise from the moral and ethical issues so quickly. You would have thought the program would be set back 15 years. We've had a 20 year death sentence and we did nothing wrong. Crazy.

Penn St. is proof that with the right coach, Nebraska can get to that level of recruiting.... State College IS BFE.....

What does their 500 mile radius look like?

Much better than ours (maybe not 2018 with St. Louis I guess). 5 of their 10 commits are from Pennsylvania. 3 others are from NJ, Mass, and Virginia.

And 2 of our 3 are from Nebraska.... Simply, I believe that if they can do it, Nebraska should be able to as well.

I agree we should be and need to be able to recruit with them.
However to not give them an advantage in talent proximity is completely wrong.

There are 10 kids from Pennsylvania that are 4 stars in the 2018 class.

There is 1 from Nebraska.

PA has a lot of talent just like Ohio and Michigan.... hasn't anyone seen "All the right moves"?

You're a bit misguided in thinking so. Pennsylvania and Nebraska are very, very different.
I'm well aware, I've been to Pennsylvania a few times. They're instate talent isn't as sparse as Nebraska's, but they're not exactly in a recruiting hotbed, neither.... My argument was less about Nebraska/Pennsylvania, and more about Lincoln/State College. That place is secluded, and just a pretty weird place all around. The point I was try to make was, if you can recruit to State College, you can recruit to Lincoln.

Recruiting is as much about perception as it is about reality. It doesn't matter if State College is on the moon, if people perceive it as being an east coast metro area and they perceive Lincoln to be in middle of nowhere cornfields Nebraska, that matters.
