We asked our Magic 8-Ball to predict Nebraska's football season

Typically we have our staff of expert Husker writers predict each game of Nebraska's season.

But this year we turned to something even more wise — a Magic 8-Ball.

Yes, the children's toy with all its infinite wisdom already knows what will happen each time the Huskers take the field in 2021.

So let's find out what it has to say — unless it wants us to "ask again later."

They should’ve gone with the Magic 8 Ball years ago. Seems to be a pretty even-keeled assessment. Not too patronizingly optimistic and not overly pessimistic.

Magic 8 ball is drunk as f#&% if it thinks Ohio State is only putting up 38.

Also, why the f#&% do we play Ohio State every year?
We actually get a 2 year break in 22/23 from Ohio State before we get Michigan, Penn State and Ohio State all in 24, with Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin and Iowa all on the road.

Yep. I think it starts a 6 year period with Michigan being the constant crossover from the east, with OSU being a part of the schedule some years like you mentioned. Wisconsin will get OSU for 6 straight years.

It's interesting you mention '24. Both Nebraska and Wisconsin have Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State.

Iowa gets Rutgers, Maryland and Indiana that year so pencil them in as West champs.

How dare they show the slightest bit of optimism? A new QB and virtual reload at every position while we return a more than serviceable defense for the first time in many years. They should be predicting 70-7.

We held them to 24 points in the first half last year, but our offense only wanted to play for a third of the game. And they only score 48 when we didn't even have an offense in 2019.

With how good our defense should be all we need is an offense that can score a TD every quarter and we're in every single game this year. I think we have a shot at one of the teams starting with O this year.
