2023 Fall Camp Notes - Special Teams

You think this team, on the heels of 6 straight losing seasons and with the understanding that we're in year one of a rebuild, has more pressure than the 1995 team that were reigning national champions and a field goal away from the last two national championships?
Another example is when Florida State brought in a true freshman kicker (Scott Bentley) in 1993 and gave him the job.  Bobby Bowden was facing all kinds of pressure to win the national championship and that kicker won them the natty with a game winning FG in the 1994 Orange Bowl.

I don’t get the thought that a true freshman kicker can’t be a success, regardless of “pressure”.

I don't remember the kicker wearing stripes that night.
