I feel it too. Jacobsen should get a schollie. Money and a good point guard duo made a huge difference (Jacobsen and Hoiberg).

Great moment for the players, the dedicated MBB fans, and the coaches. Not sure what it does for the program as a whole?

Glad they won and ended the season on a high note.
Looking back though, this tournament, just makes the two losing streaks in the regular season that much more of a head scratcher. This proves they should have at least made it to the Big Ten Tourney. But....they didn't.

It is very cool to see Nebraska come through in this tournament.
At least in my eyes, the program lived up to what expectations should be year in and year out.
In fact, they exceeded expectations.
In my mind, Nebraska should compete in the top half of the conference and be in the conversation for the NCAA tournament. They were doing both until the losing streak late in the season.
Even with a win or two in the late regular season, it probably would have taken a one or possibly even two-game run at the BIG to get to the NCAA.
The fact that they got recognition for the success of the season with a Crown bid was excellent.
They really needed to make a little noise at the Crown in order for me to feel good about the season. And they won the tournament. I guess that more than qualiifes.
What does it mean for next year?
Hard to say with grads like Gary and WIlliams and also with the uncertainty that is the transfer portal.
Honestly, who cares about next year?
I am living in the now and feeling pretty good about Nebrasketball !!!

Serious question. Does NCAA championship dish out any $$$?

Not to the players, but the NCAA gives out money to the conferences based on wins which is then shared among the schools. In the B1G it will be split evenly 18 ways, in other conferences it is split other ways.
