2026-27 Season Notes

USC will be good this year, and tough to play. They are loaded with talent, including 3 or 4 bigs.

Indiana also added bigs and should be another improved team.

I like going through our league and seeing who appears to be improving with transfers and recruits, and seeing who might take a step back. USC surprised me so far.

Musselman still has not proved he can coach in a top conference.
 
The non conference schedule is officially on Huskers.com. All the games that have been discussed previously in this thread. Kind of surprised that they have a game 12/17 since that is Thursday during finals week.

The most magical season in team history ended with a first Sweet 16 appearance and Fred Hoiberg being named AP national coach of the year. A fourth consecutive 20-win campaign and a third NCAA tournament appearance in four years all seem possible for a group that will be led by all-Big Ten first teamer Pryce Sandfort and Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year Braden Frager. But looming over the Cornhuskers is the fact that they lost more than 40 points per game from the roster. They will also need to rely heavily on their newcomers to retain a top-10 defense.
