You have not spent much time around Duck fans then. The ones I run into, think they have won or should have won the last 4 MNC. They really believe they were the best this year, and Auburn cheated to take their first one.

I am not a Duck fan, only because of their fans that I have met.

I believe you win it on the field, they have not. Until they do they will not have walked the walk.

Heads and shoulders above the our Huskers currently, and most likely will remain ahead for a few years. Hopefully we can get back to being at that level soon. I agree I would love to have their record, no question.

I can't fnd 2012 number yet but for 2011 18 teams sold out every home game... Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, LSU, Florida, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Oregon, Texas Tech, Louisville, Utah, Cincinnati and Boise State.

Nebraska of course is on that list... so is Iowa. know who isn't on the list... anyone else in this bogus top 5 including their so called #1 fanbase.

The only thing they haven't won on the field is a national championship. But, as fate would have it, only two schools out of 119 in the entire country have. So I'd say they win most of it on the field compared to 99% of the country.

Bad criteria and the list shows it. I think it's difficult to say who the absolute number one is, it's all based on what you want to measure and you're better off breaking it into tiers, NU from the streak alone would be in the top tier, I think PSU should be there as well.

There's something to be said for loyalty in the face of adversity/mediocrity. I am certainly biased but I think, like someone mentioned earlier, that Carolina has some of the most loyal fans in the country. To keep attendance up with a winless season or a season with bad losses to rivals when you have no history of success is really something.
