3 of 4 Austin Heisman voters pick Suh #1

Could not find the other voters posted online but 3 of 4 Austin sports writers voted for Suh. Its in the paper but I can't seem to find it online but maybe some enterprising Husker folk can....

He can get all sorts of #1 votes but what is killing him is the other voters who leave him off their ballots entirely. If can pick up enough 2nd and even 3rd place votes between now and Saturday, he may just win. Otherwise, he's going to repeat what happened last year and that is, the winner will not have the most 1st place votes (re: Bradford)

The final margin between Tebow and Bradford in 1st place votes was 3 I believe. If Suh continues to get all these 1st place votes his margin could be much bigger. Would be interesting to see if he outpaces Ingram with 20 or more 1st place votes if there will be a controversy on the weight of the votes.

The Heisman vote IMO is a lot like the Electoral College vs Popular Vote. It's a crappy system. Regardless of the outcome though, it's still a great honor to be invited. And the fact Suh, a defensive lineman, is getting serious recognition makes me wonder if voters in the future will start to be a little more open minded about who they vote for.
