30 for 30 on the 1984 Orange Bowl?

Sounds like it here:

"Two Points, One Title," a film documenting Tom Osborne's decision to go for two points against Miami in the 1984 Orange Bowl, will air Sunday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.

Jon Frankel, who wrote and produced the show, spent more than a year talking with coaches and players involved and members of the media who covered the game, which the Hurricanes won 31-30 when Turner Gill's two-point conversion pass to Jeff Smith was tipped away.

Won't be so depressing if they show our guys and the hard partying they did the night before (and well into the wee hours of the morning). At least some one was enjoying their trip down to Miami.

Well that ought to be depressing to watch.
didn't we get enough of miami in "the u"?

this is cool though. but i wish they would do one on our run in the 90's. talk about the walk-on program, s&c program, the blackshirts, the pipeline. there is a ton there.

I am pretty sure this is not a full-blown 30 for 30 film. There was a 30 for 30 short that is about 20 minutes long that was put on ESPN.com on the 1984 Orange Bowl. This is what is probably going to air on ESPN. Throw in some commercials and that is a 30 minute show.

Honestly, I don't think NU has enough "stuff" and interest outside the state of NU that is worthy of a full-blown 30 for 30 film. If there was one done on the 90s team, they would have to cover some of the off-the-field issues the team had, and that would make fans crazy.

They are putting together a U Two, that covers the early 2000's Hurricanes. I think it's going to air after the Heisman Trophy presentation this December.

I really hope you're not serious.

I am totally serious. I think it would be a good watch. Those teams were so talented, and pumped so many players into the NFL.

You have to remember its eSECpn. Nebraska has never got much respect from that bunch of SEC lovers. TO was a bland interview and Bobby Bowden was glib and funny.Even now they (Especially Danny Kannel) act like FSU was the dominate team of the 90ies and that's just not true when you look at the numbers and especially the

National Championships.

none of the teams mentioned in your post or this thread are in the sec.

Yeah, i don't need 30 more minutes on LP, Christian Peter, T Williams, etc.
Shoot, E$ecPN pretty much ignored us during that run. I'd prefer that they continue to do so.
