40 time for Jean-Baptiste

Haven't seen a reported time while he was at NU. Wouldn't surprise me at all if he is in the low 4.5's though. If he gets it to around 4.4 that is a huge bonus for him.

Rivals said 4.45 four years ago. LINK. Of course Rival's times are sometimes overstated. heh. So if he gained a step or two at NU, and improved his form with the performance coaching in Orlando, then he might actually be around the mid 4.4s when he runs next week. Prince only clocked a 4.43 at the combine. SJB might not be far behind.

I'm going to guess it's slower that he'd like. He a tall, long-strider and that usually doesn't translate well to the 40. If he turns in a great time, he'll jump way up the draft boards (Currently a 4-5 Round grade).

I'm gonna say if he runs a 4.5 or better, he ends up in the 2nd round. 4.6 he goes in the 3rd or worse. If he rips off anything in the 4.4s, he could go late in round 1.

He was a wide receiver 4 years ago

Also more than likely that was a hand-held time which would convert to about 4.7 electronic.
Rivals had Prince at 4.5. LINK Then four years later he ran a 4.43 at the combine. Since Rivals had SJB at 4.45 it's not unreasonable that he'd run somewhere around Prince's time.

But I guess all this is just speculation. We'll know the answer within a week.
