That was the most points scored against Minnesota this year too. The Gophers played #3 TCU earlier this year, which coincidentally has the #3 ranked scoring offense in the country. TCU scored 23 points on them.

 
Shows what we are capable of when we can fire on all cylinders. The 99 yard drive was a thing of beauty. Still a lot of work to do, Go Big Red!

This is not that same defense. Injuries have made them a shell of what they were that game.

 
Injuries are a part of football. Nebraska has them too. If Nebraska doesn't get to make any "excuses" when they lose a close game like every single one of their losses has been, then Minnesota doesn't get "excuses" from Husker fans as to why Nebraska went into Minnesota and put a beat down on them.

Exactly, due to injuries we had 20 walk-ons on the 85 suiting up for the game.

Not only that but we suited up 20 something defensive players yesterday. That's scary thin.

Correct. We have a skeleton crew at DL and LB. We are just as banged up on D as Minnesota is.

20 of the 70 players on the travel roster started their career as walkons.

We suited up 26 defensive players.
