This probably didn't need it's own thread but there was too much random stream-of-consciousness going on so #yolo.

8th grader Zadock Dinkelmann, a QB and nephew of former Heisman winner Ty Detmer, has committed to LSU. http://es.pn/1frNLVo

His father called LSU “a dream school.” He played middle school football w/ varsity-sized ball because hands were too big for Jr. High ball.

Also amazingly he will not be the varsity starter next season because of Koy Detmer Jr. But he is indeed next in line in Detmer QB family.

Believe this is the earliest known commitment in college football since 13-year-old David Sills committed to USC in 2010. Dinkelmann is 14.

The last part is where it really gets crazy.

David Sills is a Class of 2015 QB from Maryland. Despite the fact that he committed to USC over four years ago, his Crystal Ball is 100% Michigan by five predictors. And, after all this, 247 has him as a three-star, #25 PROQB and only the 15th best player in Maryland.

If Dylan Moses is in the 2017 class he also graduates in 2017 but plays football in the fall of 2016 as a senior.

He would play his junior year in the fall of 2015.

He would play his soph year in the fall of 2014.

He therefore just played his freshman year in the fall of 2013.

If he was an 8th grader last year he would be too old to play high school ball his senior year.
