Ok.. so football season starts in 35 days (but who's counting, right?) and fall camp starts next week. So I, like many of you I am sure, am about to go insane. I've been watching Husker youtube videos for the last hour or so and thought it would be fun to list the most memorable play of every season I can remember. Feel free to agree or disagree. If you disagree, post your own.

1993: Field goal wide right against FSU. This was actually my very first Husker memory. One of the only times I've seen my father cry.

1994: Cory Schlesinger's 2nd TD to take the lead against Miami.

1995: What else? Tommie Frazier's 75 yard TD against Florida.

1996: ?? (I don't remember a specific play from this season)

1997: Another easy pick. The catch. Frost to Wiggins to Davidson.

1998: The facemask on Crouch at K-State that was never called

1999: Eric Crouch leveling an Iowa DB on the way to the endzone

2000:

2001: Stuntz to Crouch TD pass against Oklahoma

2002: Lord interception to end our upset hopes against Texas

2003: Ruud fumble return to "upset" Oklahoma State in the season opener

2004: Joe Dailey running out of bounds on fourth down against Southern Miss

2005: The interception-fumble by Smith against Texas Tech

2006: Purify TD catch against A&M to clinch North

2007: The USC fumble on a punt return that was recovered by USC and ran 50 yards (we had the momentum before that happened)

2008: The 57 yard field goal by Henery to take the lead against Colorado

1996: James Brown 4th Down roll out pass.....many expletives were uttered after.

1998: Crouch literally getting his head torn off & the refs SOMEHOW missing the call in Manhattan...many expletives were uttered after (NOT 2000).

2000: The spitting mad fan at Notre Dame after the game winning Crouch TD.

I though that it was Zach Bowman who knocked that player out against Michigan

01 Crouch 95 yard td run against Mizzou, I CAN'T BELIEVE nobody posted this yet!!

Dang!! Beat me to it!

My most memorable is the 1997 "Miracle in Missouri". My brother and I were there, sitting in the midst of MOOU fans, listening to them give is crap about beating the #1 team, blah blah blah. Right before the play some Mizzery fan began screaming "F%$* Nebraska, its over!"

Then the play! When the ball was thrown at the goal line and you could see it falling to the ground, you could feel the roar starting in the stadium. Then it erupted for a split second until the referee raised his hands. Then it was like someone turned on a vacuum and the air just sucked out of the stadium. :clap :clap :clap and it was the Husker fans that erupted.

The most rewarding thing to me was afterwords Mizzery fans were saying things to us like "Well, you wont be ranked number anymore"!!! They were screaming at our sons who were 6 and 8. To this day, that it is why I absolutely loathe that team!!
