I hope that is not the case this time. Though I am really looking forward to seeing Alice Cooper also.

I'm seeing them this fall in Lincoln and while I love Alice, I hope he doesn't outshine Motley on one of their last shows as a band.

1. I'd give anything to see Van Halen circa '78-79. I don't think the clips I've seen on Youtube do them justice. The sheer ferocity of DLR and Eddie shredding...I don't think we've seen anything similar since.

3. Elvis in the late 50's...before he lost his voice and gained all of that weight

Did anyone here have the opportunity to see Van Halen in the 70's or early 80's?

1. Nirvana -- just to say that I saw them live. I still love the grunge music era. I had friends go to the Omaha show when they toured after Nevermind. Still bummed I didn't go.
2. Van Halen early 80s -- 1984 was one of the first albums I ever had, and I think they were at the peak of their powers then. I am sure their 1984 tour was great as they mixed in new songs from the 1984 album in with the classics from the late 70s.
3. Led Zeppelin -- I am not a huge Zeppelin fan, but it would have been great just to see them rock out for 2-3 hours
4. Smashing Pumpkins -- another one of my favorite bands on the 90s. They didn't have a huge song catalog, but I would think they would put on a decent rock show for a 90-120 minutes.
5. Rush in the late 70s, early 80s -- I saw Rush live in 1998, and it was a great show. It would have been cool to see them when they were young pups, playing their hits from the 70s and 80s.
