A Little Reminder

USING THE IGNORE FUNCTION

If there is a member whose posts sets your teeth on edge, you have two options - take him to the Woodshed or use the IGNORE function. The IGNORE function lets you block posts by the members you designate - you never see posts by that member. Here's how it works:

1. Find a post - any post - by the member you want to block, and then click his or her username, as shown in red, below:

profilex.jpg

2. You'll be taken to that user's Profile page. At the upper right you will see this button:

profile.jpg

3. Click that button to get these options:

4. Now, just click the option circled in red, below:

There you go - you won't see that member's post anymore!

You can always find this pinned at the top, here.

After the blood pressure medication kicks in, is there an un-ignore function?

Seriously, is this reversable

Yes, it is. Go into your Control Panel, and in the links on the left will be one for "Manage Ignored Users". Click it, and you will see fields containing the users you ignore. Remove anyone whose posts you want to see, then click to update the list.

a suggestion to the ADMIN/MOD tech people, cant you just add an "Ignore" button, beside the "PM" under each post????

to easy, and that is probably why it wont happen

How'd you know I can't stand AR!? <_<
No one can :cop:

(That emoticon is now obligatory when answering any BRI post. Failure to do such will result in a ban.)
Jealousy is such an ugly emotion...
And so is yo momma!

OH SNAP
This may be the most well thought out, most meaningful and entertaining discussion on the board lately! Keep spreading the love, guys!

:clap

Well, yes and no. Yes, it's possible - no, it isn't easy, as it requires some fairly substantial PHP coding. In other words - don't hold your breath...
