Everyone needs to keep some perspective on the NU situation after the Ball State Game. If we take a quick trip down memory lane and compare to the Tom Osborne era, things actually look pretty good:
- In Osborne's first year, 3 players had to go to the locker before halftime to relieve themselves. So far this year, NONE. Zero!!!
- In Osborne's first year, there was one play where we had a 60 yard bomb completed on us, much like today. No big deal!
- In Osborne's era, we had safeties making tackles several times per game. We have improved GREATLY in this area - our safeties are making tackles MOST OF THE PLAYS.
- In Osborne's era, the offense was set up to confuse the opponents; under the Callahan era, the offense has done one better and confused the COACHES.
Hang in there and keep the faith - we are MILES ahead of Tom Osborne's teams. Just look at some facts!
