Aaron green

Green and Heard realized they weren't going to beat out Ameer. Good luck to him at TCU, but I am not going to wish he was at NU.

Anyone see his huge run! Happy he found a home but would loved to have had him running for us!
Wouldn't have been running much, no way he beats out AA, so he would be getting Newby's touchesNot to mention he still looks like he hasn't touched a weight since he got to college

Great point, Amac. The thing that allowed Ameer to beat out Green and Heard as a frosh, was that he worked harder then. He worked harder then and still works hard as a senior.

Actually the same as Melvin Gordon, look at him a few years ago vs now he has put on some good weight! Difference between talented players and all Americans, not everyone has or cares to have that kind of work ethic

This is revisionist. Pure and simple. Like sayin we were wrong to not offer drew ott. Look at our roster at rb. Who would you sacrafice AT THE TIME?

I agree he wouldn't be starting over ameer however he's running pretty well and should have a solid college career. Say what you want blackshirt but it's good to see we recruit quality weather they stay or not.

At the time? You mean after his true freshman year that he refused to redshirt and AA flat out beat him out for playing time and we had basicly the same running back in braylon heard also in the roster?Glad to see him do well, (as long as it isn't against us) seemed like a good kid

If anything, Aaron Green's succes tonight (although he is only getting meaningful carries because the #1 RB is injured) shows that Bo and his staff can actually recruit quality players into the program. I don't blame the coaches one bit for not being able to "keep Green at NU". Green realized he wasn't better than Ameer, and wasn't going to put in the work to try to beat him out, so he left.

Thank you, exactly what I am thinking and trying to say. People will always tend to try and fight. I was pointing out the success of a recruit....that is all

Not sure. He's had a big game tonight, and good for him. But, he was in Lincoln for 1 year and left.
