Not trying to start anything but, have we added any names to the academic All-American list in the past few years. It was once a really big deal.........back when Tom could not win the big one and we needed something to brag about. I can't recall the last time it came up in the press.

 
I swore Dane Todd was one . . . and I think one of our offensive linemen was, too . . . someone correct me if I'm wrong.

 
In 2006-07, Nebraska added nine members to its CoSIDA Academic All-America tradition: Sarah Pavan (first-team, volleyball, Academic All-American-of-the-Year), Jenny Green (first-team, track), Nate Probasco (first-team, track), Ashley Selig (first-team, track), Issar Yazhbin (first-team, track), Imke Reimers (second-team, women's tennis), Kim Shubert (second-team, track), Dane Todd (second-team, football) and Stephen Tetrault (men's gymnastics). -taken from Huskers.com here
