Acting Michigan Coach Biff Poggi is fairly close with the Nebraska coaching staff

It was a coaching showdown neither saw coming anytime soon, but when Matt Rhule and acting Michigan coach Biff Poggi meet Saturday, they'll be doing so as longtime friends. Poggi also coached Logan Holgorsen, the son of NU offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen.

It's always interesting to read how these guys have crossed paths in their careers.

"It's interesting because I know so many guys on the staff," Poggi said. "I coached (Dana's) son for a bit at St. Frances. Ron Brown, Bill Busch, I mean, I know a bunch of the guys there, so it will be good to see them, but they've done a really good job with their team."
