Adi Kunalic

I cant help but notice that we've only had Kunalic kick 1 field goal this whole year. Maybe we just havent had many field goal opportunities, but I say when u have a kicker who can kick 60+ yard field goals take advantage of it. I'd love to see Kunalic boot a 60 yarder against ISU or Mizzou :steam

Also, I've heard Henery has the leg as well. It's kind of interesting - both these guys are frosh currently. Hopefully Kunalic doesn't leave, because he honestly is not getting a whole lot of PT.

Yeah, u brought up a good point & thats the main reason y i brought this thread up. I dont think Kunalic is getting enough playing time & i think he should as he's clearly our best kicker (henery has a leg too, but not nearly as good as kunalic) so i think he deserves the most playing time

Sometimes I figured the reason Callahan gives Henery all the shorter kicks is b/c he wants to save Kunalics leg for the long kicks but i dunno if thats the reason

I think that we should let Kunalic boot any field goal thats 55 yards or less on 4th down (unless we decide to go 4 it). I mean, this guy has that good of a leg

As long as we're scoring they are getting equal playing time. Henery kicks the extra point and Kunilac follows up with the kick off. Adi will get plenty of chances to put points on the board in the future. Right now his best contribution is putting the ball in the endzone.

Adi - stronger leg = kickoffs and a really long field goal or two

Henery - more accurate = xp's and mid and short FG's

makes sense to me :dunno

I think if it came down to it in a Texas type of game where there is like 2 seconds left we are at the 45 or so and we need a big boot for the win Adi would come in. A situation like that getting an offensive touchdown isn't very likely. Can you imagine what the Cotton Bowl outcome would have been if we would have had Adi??? ;)

*remembers watching Henery in high school*

I don't think we're in danger of having Kunalic transfer away . . . where else do your touchbacks get a standing ovation? But even if he does, Henery is plenty capable of booting a 50+ yarder.
