• Huskerboard's guidelines section features two new rule updates.

    We have added formal language to the guidelines page regarding the politics and religion forum and the use of AI-generated content. The political policy is not new, but the AI update has been added to align us with modern forum best practices. Please review these changes at your convenience.

Ads inside of threads are too intrusive.

Pretty brutal right now on mobile. 3 ads at once plus a full page scroll though Oakley ad. Worst part is they are located in areas that cover up places we need to click on to navigate this site and the extremely small x rarely works which makes you go to ad site when you had no intention to visit it.

I certainly don’t mind ads and a business needs to bring in money, but this isn’t a sustainable long term option for the end users which drive traffic to this site. I think this will drive users away pretty quickly. Prior to this week, however, the site and changes from previous software were working awesome. 🤷‍♂️
 
Not only the infestation, but with whatever was recently updated as soon as I open a huskerboard tab on my (quite powerful) computer the OS immediately just starts crawling so slow.

It literally is bringing my phone to s standstill so I'm just not getting on the site unless I am on my PC. I get they want to make a profit but this is going to eventually drive people away.

I paid the subscription to not have these ads. Thus needs fixed.
 
i am starting to think the sight has been either abandoned....or hijacked. i am getting a lot of warnings now from my antivirus software related to huskerboard.

agree. Those bottom banner ads prevent you from going all the way to the bottom. Right now there are 4 adds popping up - opps spoke too soon there are now 5 - one covering up my typing. Pain in the butt. Some appear in between posts and it catches you off guard wondering if it is part of the post!!
