• Huskerboard's guidelines section features two new rule updates.

    We have added formal language to the guidelines page regarding the politics and religion forum and the use of AI-generated content. The political policy is not new, but the AI update has been added to align us with modern forum best practices. Please review these changes at your convenience.

Ads inside of threads are too intrusive.

The ads suck, but I too am on a PC, so maybe that is why I am pretty OK with the board.
 
Pretty sure I paid for the No Ads version of HB, but I still see a lot of ads on my laptop, and it's still pretty intrusive on my mobile version, where occasionally loud audio will blast out from an ad I can't see.

I wonder if he'll be willing to refund your money since he hasn't lived up to his end of the deal?
I said I would buy in, but I never did. I'm glad I didn't.

That seems a little on the illegal side for Huskerboard to be doing to you. I think BigRedBuster had the same issue. Speaking of which, anyone know where he ended up going.

I’ve visited that HM site more than a few times and just can’t handle it optically. Crowded neon infested jungle of ads. Not sure how people put up with it, honestly.

Last night I had trouble getting any page on Huskerboard to load. I seriously thought maybe he had finally pulled the plug on this place. I would be lying if I didn’t admit I felt a little relief….but then it started working again. HB is an addiction for me. The only way I will be able to quit is if I get banned or the site shuts down. I’ve considered that first option multiple times since apparently I don’t have the willpower to quit on my own.

I hear you. I'm not a member and I don't visit Hsukermax.... but have lurked at their Basketball/Baseball forums since January when HB freezes up my computers every day (of course). That's why I get frustrated.

We don't want to get banned. We want HB to grow and succeed and be running smoothly like it did 4-5 years ago.
