Afghanistan Ambush

This is so distressing. I'm a Viet Nam vet and I see here the same kind of support that we got from the candyass politicians in Washington when we put our lives on the line. If we are going to fight this war then lets fight it or lets get out. We do not understand these prople and their problems at all. They have been fighting a religious war for centurys. We were their alies and helped them defeat the Soviets and then we bailed on them and let the radicals take over. When will we learn. There is a line from a Clint Eastwood movie that seems aprapo for our situation here, "Wen you come to shoot, shoot, don't talk."

My step grandpa recently typed a 6 page paper on all of his close encounters while serving in Vietnam, everything is so emotional and I don't understand how anybody wouldn't be able to respect what they are doing in a positive way.

Thank you for all that you've done as a Vet, and as a citizen.

 
I am very worried that we will end up half assing this thing like we did Nam. Running away with our tails between our legs will only repeat the mistake we made after the Soviets were defeated.

President Obama, do not let it be that my brothers will have died in vain, honor them and acheive the ends for which they fought and died.

 
i hope things get figured out soon on how we are supposed to fight this war. as most of you know i am in Iraq now, and will probably end up in afghanistan about a year after i leave this sh**ty place.

cool slide show, thanks. Helps us here back at home realize what you all are going through....even if it's only just a glimpse of what you see from day to day.
